Good managers come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them are just stepping into their first leadership roles, and some of them have been managing teams forever. Some of them are soft-spoken and some are loud and boisterous. They all hire people they respect and treat them like adults.

They all lead through trust instead of fear. They don’t put employees down or browbeat them. They encourage people, instead.

A good manager can be any working age, have any type of educational background and come from any function or discipline. People who don’t consider themselves communicators can be incredible managers nonetheless.
